Hello, amazing parents! I'm Lindsay, the founder of Soothe Beginnings, and today I'm sharing a decision close to my heart. Despite the enormous profit margins from selling pacifier clips, I've chosen not to include them in our product lineup, and here's why.
Pacifier clips might seem convenient, but they come with significant risks. Far too many incident reports have shown that these clips can break, creating sharp edges and posing serious choking hazards. This isn't just about one type of material; both plastic and metal clips have been involved in these safety incidents. The beaded ones have been labeled a choking hazard time and time again. Additionally, tension and weight from the clips’ straps can adversely affect a child’s oral development. This even includes the fabric ones as they are pulling down on the front of the pacifier.
At Soothe Beginnings, it's all about making choices that ensure the safest products for your little ones. By not selling pacifier clips, I aim to set a precedent in the industry, prioritizing child safety over financial gain. The baby industry loves a good gimmick, regardless of the outcomes. I hope this stance inspires other businesses to reflect on their product choices and prioritize safety.
This is more than a business to me; it’s a commitment to safe, responsible parenting. I hope to influence the industry towards better safety standards and make Soothe Beginnings a model of ethical business practices. Your trust and support mean the world, and together, we can make a significant impact on the market, ensuring our children grow up in a safer environment.
Let’s keep pushing for safer baby products. Share your thoughts and let's advocate for change together!
