Why We Designed a Pacifier That Lasts

Why We Designed a Pacifier That Lasts

Discover why most pacifiers are designed to be disposable, and how Soothe Beginnings offers a smarter, safer, and more sustainable solution for modern parents.

Not every pacifier is meant to last.
Ours is.

Here’s the thing—most pacifiers are designed to be disposable. Cheap materials. Less testing. Replace the entire thing every four weeks and start over. More waste.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Soothe Beginnings was built around a smarter, safer system—starting with the part most parents don’t realize they shouldn’t be throwing away. Our reusable cap + shield is made from Richlite®, Greenguard Gold certified, plastic-free material that’s durable enough to last the entire pacifier journey. It’s easy to clean, customizable, and designed to be a sweet keepsake.

Instead of replacing the whole pacifier, you simply refresh the nipple every 6–8 weeks. Our nipples are made from 100% medical-grade silicone—the highest quality available—and are tested for PFAS, BPA, phthalates, and lead.

In fact, every batch of pacifiers we produce is tested in the U.S., and every kit is manufactured right here in the U.S. too.

1. Choose Your Pacifier Kit
Start with either the Newborn Pacifier Starter Kit (which includes all three nipple shapes for when you're not sure what baby will like) or the I Know Their Shape Kit (for parents who already know what shape their baby likes).

2. Keep The Shield
Our reusable cap + shield is designed to last. It’s dishwasher safe, made from high-performance Richlite®, and doubles as a personalized keepsake. You only need to buy it once—unless you want an extra.

3. Refresh Your Nipples
Just swap in a fresh nipple every 6–8 weeks or at the first sign of wear and tear. Subscribe to get replacements automatically every 6 weeks or order them as needed. We even offer a nipple recycling option to help reduce waste.

✨ Fewer replacements
✨ Less waste
✨ No guessing
✨ A design you can trust to last

It’s a smarter way to soothe—especially if you're the kind of parent who values quality and takes care of what matters.

So no, it’s not “just a pacifier.”
It’s peace of mind that pays for itself.
