As a parent, you deserve to know the products you’re putting in your baby’s mouth are safe. But with so many pacifiers on the market, how do you really know if what you’re buying meets safety standards?
Let’s talk about CPSC compliance—and why it matters.
What Is the CPSC?
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is the U.S. agency responsible for making sure children’s products, like pacifiers, are tested for hazards like lead, phthalates, flammability, and more.
If a pacifier is CPSC compliant, it means it’s been tested to meet standards—specifically things like:
-
✅ Lead and phthalate limits
-
✅ Pacifier-specific design rules (like shield size and ventilation holes)
-
✅ Small parts testing (to reduce choking risk)
-
✅ Tracking labels
-
✅ And in our case… PFAS testing (not required, but we do it anyway)
Does the Soothe Beginnings Pacifier Meet These Standards?
Yes. In fact, we go above what’s required with added tests and frequency.
I’ve posted our Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) below, so you can see the exact safety standards our product is tested to meet—including:
-
16 CFR 1511 – Pacifier Requirements
-
16 CFR 1307 – Phthalate Limits
-
15 U.S.C. § 1278a – Total Lead Content
-
16 CFR 1501 – Small Parts
-
PFAS (Total Fluorine Method) – Not required but tested anyway for peace of mind
Why Does This Matter?
Because safety isn’t optional—it’s the bare minimum. And yet, not all brands test every batch. Some don’t follow guidelines at all (yes, even ones sold in stores).
At Soothe Beginnings, I’m not just a founder—I’m a mom. So I made sure we went beyond the basics:
-
Every batch tested
-
Latex-free & plastic-free
-
Designed with expert input and real-world use in mind
If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Is this pacifier safe?”—now you know exactly what to look for.
✅ CPSC-compliant
✅ Transparent
✅ Parent-tested and baby-approved
Because your baby’s safety deserves nothing less.
